HELP! New wheels problems!

I just got a new set of wheels for my 06 c230 sport. I had to get 10mm spacers in the front for a 38mm offset wheel so it could clear the caliper. I spun the wheels around and they didn't hit anything so I think the front is fine.

When I pulled out of my garage, I noticed a "click, click, click" noise that went faster as I moved faster. So I immediately pulled back in and tried to figure out what it was. The noise sounds like it's coming from the rear, so I felt around the back of the wheel and it seems very close to the inside of the wheel well. I am thinking it might be hitting the strut? I am going to get some spacers and see if that takes care of the problem.

If anyone has had a similar problem, advice would be appreciated!

Make sure your lug bolts in the rear are not too long. Common issue when installing different wheel/lug bolt combinations.

+1 - If too long they interfere with the park brake mechanism inside the rotor hat & can do damage.

You need to grind down your rear lug nuts. Or you need to buy shorter ones. Simply as that. Longer bolts in the rear are hitting the Parking brake. Happened to me installing my old 19's looked in the box at the nuts. & there were two sets longer for the front and shorter for the rear

i have the same wheels you have in your picture, 18x9.5 in the rear. the lug bolts i got with them are a 25mm shank length. im thinking i probably need about 19-21mm to be ok, right?

Cut my bolts last night, only had to trim an 1/8" to get them to work. That was definitely the problem.

I've got slight vibration in the steering wheel at highway speeds, I'm thinking my tires probably need to be balanced and possibly an alignment. Gonna get that taken care of tonight and I think I should be good after that!

Yes, it is your lugbolts. They are too long, and need to see shortened. You can use a grinder to sorthen them, and just buy new shorter lugbolts.

Are your spacers hubcentric? If not, they may be the source of your vibrations if it's not wheel balance issue.
