CEL on - where's the OBD II connector?

CEL on - where's the OBD II connector?
The CEL came on in my 2006 C230 Sport recently. There's absolutely no change in performance or fuel mileage that I can detect but I'd like to check it out. Can anyone tell me where the OBD II connector is located? I looked under the dash but didn't see anything obvious. Any suggestions on a good, inexpensive OBD II reader that can read and reset the codes?

Make sure it clears codes, and also has the correct protocol for your mercedes.
For my 20002 c230 I needed one with KWP2000
I got the 3130 after doing reviews, but its over 100.
Lesser versions of the same thing at walmart for cheaper.
Some bids on ebay.
There are other suggestsinos and links on the forum somewhere.
Any idea what a good voltmeter for a car that can be used in the house as well is? Haha.

I was looking at the Actron CP9575 or the Equus 3100 Innova CAN OBD2, both available from Amazon. Does my car have a CAN system?
