Tune up for a C240

So I just hit 100k on my Benz. Need to get plugs, wires and tranny flushed. Anyone have an idea on how much that cost at dealer compared to independent?

Also, this has boggled my mind. I was having a problem with my fan running abnormally fast from the moment I started the car until i turned it off. I just had my oil changed and made sure they put in Mobile 1 0w40, and when I left the fan stopped running like an airplane engine. Is this pure coincidence or can incorrect oil do funny things like this?

have the tranny done at the dealer why risk a very expensive repair if done incorrectly this way you get MB filter and fluid

if you have the tools the time and have changed plugs before the plugs are not too bad to do on my 2004 c240 it took me about 1.5 hrs to do going nice and slow

the fan may be the coolant temp sensor its easy to change too but others may comment here

If you have ever done any car work yourself, DIY would be the best way to go for all 3. Although, unless you feel comfortable, the tranny flush you should definitely take to a shop. I would recommend independent though, f*** the stealership.

There are a lot of DIY threads here on those items, just use the search box and you should find what you're looking for. You could probably even just do a google search and find it.
