I'm from brisbane, and i have a Carlsson coilover, 19 inch wheels and used to have an aftermarket muffler. I used to cut my spring to slammed the car. Tell me what u want to do with your car and i can hopefully help you

well first thing is to lower the car, i am thinking about eibach springs, but then Carlsson coilover doesn't that involve **** loads of money? or is it worth going for the extra ?
I don't know any authorised dealers for carlsson here in brisbane how did u get thouse stuff? n where did u get em installed?
then i think some performace upgrades, muffler, intake and maybe thouse kleemann pullys if i can.
u said "used to have an aftermarket muffler" why don't u have it any more? does it make any noticable difference when u had them?
main thing is i have no idea where i can get thouse stuff installed i would like to get it done by a experienced MB Mech. its just a mental thing i have, i don't feel comfortable with mechs. that hasn't done any thing on a MB b4.
is there a shop that deals specifically with european cars in Brisbane ?

besides mines a new car its a 2003 and only 700KM on odometer, do u know how my MB warrenty will be affected after having mods done to the car? like if some thing goes wrong with the shocks which i didn't change except the springs or engine stuff when i only changed the muffler and intake etc stuff like that
or should i just run the car in for a while untill there is no further problems then i fo get the mods?

If you change your springs and if something goes wrong with your shocks then I'm sure the dealer would blame the springs. If you install an exhaust and theres something wrong with the engine then it would still be under warranty as theres no way exhaust will effect anything.
2 weeks ago I've got my front lower controller arm replaced under warranty...eventho the dealer knew that I've got Eibach....I guess the springs didn't cause the lower controller arm to worn out earlier than it should.
Hey Kong....you have the 1.8L engine haven't you??, if thats the case then you're outta luck with Kleemann pulley as theres no pulley available yet for 1.8L engine.
With springs and exhaust I reckon you can do it straight away, actually I've got my Eibach springs 3 months before I got my car then I installed the springs and the wheels 2 days after I got the car.

Carlsson coilover cost ****load of money brand new
, i bought from my friend over in indonesia for 1500, if u just want a spring, how low u want to go?? I noe three place which supply three different spring brand.
One is Harding European located in Rocklea on Reginald St (this is the place for european car, a lot of Audi and VW modifyby this guy) they can supply u with some H&R stuff including the coilover.
Second one is GSA suspension, located in the springwood (forget the road name), they are the distributor for Eibach in QLD.
Third one is Keith 4 Wheels, also in Springwood, they can give u a set of intrax spring(give u the lowest drop as well as harshest ride), i know the owner of the shop, a great bloke.
If u want a set of wheels, PM me i can refer u to the right guy
Regarding on installation, those three places are trustable, no doubt about the Harding European, GSA is a big company so it's ok, Keith 4 Wheels itself has a C Class as his show car (with 20 and airbag). Hope that helps.
The muffler i used to have is too loud for my taste so i took it off, regarding the performance with the muffler, u can feel it in the top range, but u lose something down the bottom, so it's not worth it. Why don't u just cut the tip and get a quad tip, looks awesome and won't attract police attention.
Btw, are u a student in Brisbane??

wow your car looks pretty good....how much r thouse wheels?
i am just after 18's why 19's will i regret not getting 19's ?
i am still a student so i am trying to spend as little as possible i think i will just go with Eibach lowering springs then i will change wheels only if i can get a good trade in with my 16' double spoke 5 star (the stock 1s on C coups), prob the most i will spend is trade in + $2000 am i dreaming about 18's then ? with that budget ? lol
my friend is going to trade in (or not trade in, not sure) his 15' elegance wheel for fake 17' amg at $2100 which also comes with tyres, from bob jane

My suggestion is not to trade your stock wheels, cos u'll be needing them when you sell your car. I have a nut lock to prevent thief from stealing my wheels :suspicious:
. I think u can get an 18 inch wheels for 2000, shop around, don't forget to check with Keith 4 Wheels, he can give u really good deal, i bought my tyres from him and was cheaper by a 1000!! compare to other places.
Whether u'll regret for not getting 19 is totally your choice, but for the maximum look 19 is the way to go. Do some saveing up, your car is still new too, i changed my wheels when my car was on 25k.
My rims cost about Aus$4800, it's 3 piece and come from japan.
