Haha. I've loved mercedes ever since I was 4 but sort of suspended my love when I started driving stick and couldn't find a benz in the u.s. Until TADA I found the coupe but bmw is pretty cool. Don't know about their quality but style I know can be amazing. Saw a black series near my house a few weeks ago. I was left speechless. Couldn't even gloat to my friends because they didn't get why I was gloating..

don't get me wrong, bmw still makes sick cars but i feel like their aesthetics have gone down with their last two fleets. i love the e46 m3(i think e46 is the right one, don't know as much about them as MB). i just think MB has definitely kept their style looking good, and very classy. i went through a string of VW after the 300SD but last june i was looking for a Audi a4 or bmw 3 series, wasn't even thinking about MB cause i wanted a stick, then i ran into the 2006 c230 sport with a 6spd and bought it on the spot. i think i'll be driving MB for the rest of my life
although my ultimate garage would be one of each, MB, BMW, Audi

yeah my very first car a 1983 300SD turbo diesel, that thing was a boat and a tank, very very slow but also very very comfortable. i got it in 2002 when i started driving, 207k on it, drove it for 2 years and put it up to 252k and sold iti wish i would have kept it, it was an amazing car

Mr. Mehoff. So, leather interior is in your future?
Yeah, good idea to find it used.
I've seen the whole interior for like $500.
Or a whole car wrecked for under 2 grand.
You could take the interior and sell the rest.

I heard there's one in Stockton from Rick of Rick's mercedes in Scotts Valley. Let me know if you go, I'd like you to check on something for me, if you can. Price and if they have it....
Your pic below is M111 engine. Not M271.
Engine covers just pull them up, the 2 by the oil dipstick.
You'll find your oil filter and power steering fluid reservoir there.

and today i'm going to do the upper portion of the grill just need to get the new grill and i can do the rest. do you know about if the one piece or three piece spoiler is better? i want that rear spoiler but i don't know where to get it or which one is better.. i came across a replica of the three piece but i automatically thought that would be such a hassle to align....

The air filter is the piece in the front with hoses attached.
Flip the clip on the intake to the left, and undo the hose clamp.
The whole unit pulls straight up and out.
This how you access the belts etc.
Make sure you get the rubber hose lined up correctly when going back in.
The get to the actual filter use torx driver to undo housing.
Order your filter online for about $10 from places like rockauto.com
along with a cabin filter.

lookin reeeal nice! gives me second thoughts about selling them!
btw... i think jbspeed recommended to remove the rubber covering and drill into the base of the pedal directly so it will hold up more securely.
i can't tell if you did into the rubber or base pedal in the pics.
i hope they treat you well!

Max, I'm putting a remote start system on my car tomorrow that starts the car with my droid or factory key! I know you'd probably want it too, so I'll let you know how it goes
