I guess it's time to go see Steve and remove the resonator and 2ndary.

What I'm afraid of is Rollnnn removed his resonator and he said his car got slower then he added a resonator and said it got faster. I wonder if it's a Kompressor thing and hopefully not an NA thing.

hmmmm usually with force fed engines you want less back pressure to free up hp. With NA you want some back pressure. I plan on putting some resonators on right behind my tips to quiet the cabin noise a bit. you should ask Jeremy to do a o2 delete on your cats.

Phi, no worries on his car, because his is an 07 C230. It is a flex fuel car, so it is built to run on E85

Nice Theres few and far between stations with E85 pumps around here. Friend has to drive like 20 mins away just to get gas.

Seriously, i have power through out the entire rev and keeps on going. Smooth *** car =)

oh yeah i was researching... that dyno dynamics is known to be called the "Heart Breaker" lol
So, you didn't lose the E85 compatibility with the tune? I always was told by tuners, that they can't do flex fuel tunes. Did Jeremy specifically tune the E85 map?

I wonder if he just tuned it specifically run on E85. I know on hondas you can tune for regular and E85. Maybe Jeremy will chime in on what he did.

I hope he chimes in too. I am going to email him about it anyway, because I am REALLY interested now. There is a lot of room for improvement on the E85 map IMO.

My car was tuned with 91 octane and I also have my factory cats on. I did delete everything else after the cats. I asked Jeremy if it is okay if i run E85 even if the tune was for a 91 and he told me it was fine.

Karo what is a cale mod? and i'm planning to go back within 2 weeks. Imma try seeing if deleting my cats will do any difference haha =)
Wish i can get a better intake though... these factory intake boxes seems kinda restrictive, like it's not a bad design just i think it can be better =/

Heres the Cale mod:
Composite Single Stage Runner Intake Manifold from 272.969
82mm throttle body OEM MB from *.969 & 550 series engines

Pricey and hard parts to find for a good deal.

Heres a pic of the single runner (left) to the OEM dual runner (right)

The stock dual runner one restricts air flow because the butterflies blocks some of the flow.

Also I'm working on a custom intake system but I'm going all out with custom hood naca ducts.

After my tune today, the horsepower bug started biting HARD... I'm going to do headers and a full exhaust, then go to Houston to re-tune on the dyno. After that who knows, but the Cale mod seems very interesting!

I guess the question would be... would these even fit the 2.5 m272? especially the 82mm TB cause the TB is something i would DEFINITELY be interested in. Show me some picks on that intake you are trying to build sounds awesome =)

Cale says the manifold and tb would fit. if you want the 82mm tb you'll need an adaptor plate to get it to fit onto our stock one because the bolt holes wont match up. You can maybe bore your stock one to be larger but it wont be up to 82mm. I have some posted on my mbjunkies thread and on my thread on here somewhat. I'm still mocking it up and doing measurements.

Numbers look great from the tune OP. I wonder if Jeremy is going to fly over to long island this year for the tunes at TTM like last year...

would that manifold just drop in without any modifications or will there need to be some? seems very fun to do. wish it was like hondas where you can just swap anything and it works lol

hmm so the manifold just drops in and I can use my existing throttle body as well as it will just bolt on. The only thing that will need modification would be the 82mm TB as it does not have the same bolting pattern?

correct me if i'm wrong please =)

I'll be there before 9. It's right in front of Target. You'll see all the euro cars there.

So, taking the cats and deleting the resonator makes you lose back pressure... which means leans power for us 2.5 guys? I have the spectre intake which made the car come to life a little more. I was always interested in the tune but never actually saw the numbers. Good gains, considering the $300 headers.. Did you feel a difference by pumping the E85??

I'm sorry to revive an old thread, but has anyone done the tune on a 3.2L engine? I think it's the M112 in the C320s? I'm curious to see if it will liven up my car, and with OE Tuning doing their end of the year sale, it's itching me to do it. Eurocharged apparently also does a tune for our cars, is one better than the other?

For E85, you will need to run a specific map or switch it when filling up. This powertrain is not set-up for flex-fuel from factory.
