Well, after test driving a W204 Classic CDI a week ago, it left me unimpressed aesthetic wise; a bit boring interior but a super engine and outer styling.
Today I met a dealer and test drove a 2006 w203 C200 Avantgarde Compressor AMG optioned... it had that WOW factor![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
The owner of the dealership, a Jaguar/Land Rover dealers, is a friend of my fathers so they knocked a few thousand off as soon as I walked onto the lot. A fair price.
Its a car they are selling on consignment so its not one of theirs, its owned by a chap who just bought a new car.
Small issues:
Dealer said he'll do both for me if I buy it.
Car looked pretty much like this inside except in that pic, the steering wheel is on the wrong side and the one I drove had full leather.

- When I saw it first, it was locked at the dealer after hours. I didn't think I would like the silver interior. But when I sat in it, it turned out to be high quality and not just plain silver plastic.
- It drove a bit better then I thought also. Acceleration on a non-hilly road was good. I will not say excellent as I'm used to a V8 GM vehicle.
- Seats were leather, not that synthetic 'fake' leather. They were comfortable.
- It lacked a few options like fully electric seats, had partial with no memory option. It did have a sunroof which my wife likes for some reason
- I liked the fact it has forward sensors as when my wife starts learning to drive, I can feel more secure that she wont hit everything in and out of site

Small issues:
- The car needs a wheel alignment, pulling too much to the right.
- The interior door puller (not the actual handle you open the door with) is broken.

Two things I'm waiting for;
- Extended test drive Wednesday night
- My father calling the owner of the dealership to find out if there is any reason not to buy and also enquiring if the extended warranty is worth the money

Out Of Control!!
That's too bad about the leather; I'd take that cloth over it any day.
The extended drive will hopefully resolve whatever concerns you have.
