I still got some cleaner left over from my old car. The ones you mix into the windscreen wiper water reserve, a cleaning agent.
Is it ok to put any sorts into my car or do I need to buy a certain type?

I use Bars. It has a strong smell of ammonia & I always do worry whether it has a detrimental effect re rust. The instructions state that is safe on paintwork.Made in NZ.
I did not have to add any treatment for nearly 3 years as the suds just kept coming from the original MB fill.
I do think that it is best not to use anything ( if you can get away with it) as any cleaner will remove the wax from your paintwork therefore exposing it to oxidisation.
How is the new car going ?

thanks, just wanted to confirm it all. I got 1 and a half bottles left so I didnt want to waist it or give it away. I know Merc has their own products at the parts section but its probably the same stuff with a larger price tag.
