2007 c230 transmission service

My Haynes manual makes no mention of draining the torque converter, like with previous model 201, 202's when you service the transmission. Is this an oversight or does it mean there isn't a drain plug for the torque converter? Also, what after market products ie Castrol, Valoline etc are recommended for a 2007 transmission?
Thanks for any comments.

Find Jonand's DIY tranny service thread. The service procedure has been updated more than once for the 7G tranny and I believe it does now include draining the torque converter. Best to find someone with Star/WIS access who can print out the updated procedure. I also think there are update parts (pan, drain standoff, etc)

John's thread is excellent. The Haynes manuals are useless on these cars & full of errors.

Billbillw is correct, the latest WIS document has draining the torque converter as part of the service now. The WIS document posted in my 7G transmission service thread is the latest. ALL the 07 cars have the latest pan and standoff, so just a service is needed.

That is good information. I thought for some reason you purchased updated parts when you did yours, but it must have been another DIY thread.

There is a new pan revision part number, but the pan is EXACTLY the same. I thought my leaking issue was from a superseded pan part number, but later discovered the pan was not leaking at all, it was the fluid that accumulated in the bell housing from draining the torque converter.
