Middle of a DIY and need help :(
I'm replacing the 3rd brake light on my 06 C230. Thought it would be an easy DIY but i have a problem. I can't get the trunk trim off. I took out all the fasteners but the plastic part with the handle will not come off. I have inc some pics, Is there something i'm missing or forgetting to do here.

If you look on the right side if the handle there is a tab. Get a flat head and push it outwards. It should release the plastic handle. Make sure you've removed all the tabs holding the carpet on, think it's like 8 or so push tabs lined throughout the carpet, just use a flathead and pull the inner tab up then pull the whole tab out. You wont have to remove the two knobs, the carpet slides over them.

Thanks all, project done!! All that was needed was a little muscle to pull it out. It had to be pulled over the two handles on top of the trunk. The clips holding the lamp in place were very hard to get to and even harder to put back. but it was well worth it
