+10000000000000 i don't understand why you are being so easy on this guy, you have a police report and the guy admitted it!! when the officer came, was the other guy there to admit? if he was, then the cop should have given HIM a ticket for hit and run or some offense.

i guess take this as a lesson learned. don't take this in a bad way, but it makes me want to scream at you for not immediately calling the cops and getting the guy who hit you in front of the cop or at least giving the cop the guy's info. if the cop would have showed up at his door asking about the wreck, the guy prob would have turned white and admitted to it, then it would be either an agreement that he pays for it or he would have to go to court.

with my old car, i parallel parked once and "love tapped" some crazy b*tch who called the cops for her old a$$ lexus that had a little bit of the black paint on the bumper. i came back to the car and she was standing there waiting and was all like "you better not leave cause i called the cops and you hit my car" and i'm like why so aggressive, you don't have to be a b*tch about it. so the cops comes and we fill out the exchange of information form and i say i'll pay for it or insurance will cause i would have thought it would just need some touch up paint, but this b*tch takes it to a place that wants to replace and repaint a whole new bumper so i had to get insurance to pay for it.

long story short, the cops are here to help you in a situation like this. don't be afraid to get them involved and if you want to get your way, you have to be aggressive. that goes for everything too, one of the most important things i've learned about the business world and free market competition.

Thanks for all your help. Yeah, I know I was being a little too nice to them, but oh well. My insurance already sent out the check for me and I'm taking the car to be repaired on Monday.

They sent me money for a new tire also, do you think it's necessary to replace both rear tire or just the damage one?
