Issue with mirror turn indicator.
Ok guys, well so far it seems like my coolant warning has gone. I have put about 30 miles on my car and no warning yet, but while I was driving I got another warning. It says the blinker on my mirror is out. The thing is it came on because when I hit the keyless entry to unlock the car the passenger side mirror didn't flash (I'm guessing this is why the warning came up). So once I realized the warning was up I was already in the car and driving so I put my blinker on to double check and it came on so I was like WTF. So I parked and locked the car and I noticed that the mirror indicator didn't flash. This is when I realized that was the reason for the warning. Does anyone know if this is a common issue on this car or what I can do to straighten this out??? I can't really search the forum because I am not at home and for some reason my iphone4 won't let me use the search function I don't know why. Any advice and input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ok well I just got home and searched this issue. It seems that this has happened to plenty people. I have seen plenty of things that it could be. My question is do I have toget the parts to fix this issue at the stealer or can I get the pieces from somewhere else??

you can do it yourself. You just need to drill a small hole and slip a wire inside and solder it to the contact point. Depending on which pin got burnt out, you may just need to ground it to the frame. If the positive side burnt out then you will need to wire it to the harness.

Oh and I just went out to look at the mirror while I was pressing the keyless entry and I am seeing that the LEDs are trying to come on. They are very faint so I'm guessing that hopefully it is a wiring issue instead of the LEDs burning out. I really don't want to replace the part. How hard are these wires to access??

i think i may have this issue sometimes too. every once in a while i get in the car to drive and get the blinker out warning. but when i turn on the signal to check it comes on and the warning doesn't hang around. i've never checked when i click to unlock the car so i'll have to look next time.

Ok well today for most of the day everything worked fine the mirror indicator worked even with the keyless. Later tonight it stopped working and I got the turbocharged nitrous blinker indicator on my dash. I just want to fix this. I can deal with it it's just freaking annoying.

LED's in the mirror housing do have a finite life, and there are plenty available from junk yards. You cannot servce a single LED, you must replace the assembly. It does unscrew from the morror housing easily.
What is more likely the fault is a wee two pin connector that makes the mirror housing removable from the mirror frame. This can become corroded. Take off housing, clean the connector terminals with contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol. In tropical climates put a dab of dielectric grease on the exposed male pins to keep the weather out of the connection.

Oh ok. $45 isn't bad at all. Yeah im an expert in leds and i know that you cannot fix just one. Well today it stayed working all day so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it just went through a weird spell lol. Thanks for all the input guys. As soon as this starts acting up again I will just replace them. By the way, if I do end up replacing them, can I get some in like a smoke or black color? I don't even know if they make them.
