Thanks, good to know. I had the 1st 07 pump to die on the forum, and I ran quite a bit of E85, so I suspected it may have contributed to it's demise. But, now with you and a few others having early pump failure that aren't running E85, I doubt that was the issue. I just appears that the change to the fuel delivery system on the 07's and early W204s, may have had a batch of bad pumps.

Did you get the pump replaced yet? Did you go Bosch or OEM? OEM on the 07's is VDO.

I searched around but couldn't find the VDO so I ordered the Bosch. Should be here early next week. I'm still concerned about the low voltage at the relay. I'll let you know how it goes.

John,

I ordered the Bosch pump and went to install it and within a matter of about a minute I knew it was the wrong pump. Numerous sites list this W0133-1832061 but it's the wrong one!
I decided to pull out the pump anyway to get a good look at it. The + terminal inside the tank was nice and brown from over heating. I put 12v to the pump and it ran outside the tank. I put it back in the tank hooked it up and started the car! I was able to drive the car home and have been driving for about week.
I still think I should replace the pump though, can you tell me the part number you ended up ordering? Was it VDO?
Thanks for all the help John & Glyn

So you're driving around with the wrong pump? I'm surprised it worked at all and doesn't throw any electrical faults, sorry I can't help with the part number though..

I put the old pump back in after it started working outside of the tank.

I bought the pump thru autopartswarehouse http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...3-1832061.html

Several sites seem to indicate the same part. It seems overly complicated for such a simple purchase! I guess I should have looked for a VDO part number when I had it out!
