Headunit Tape Stuck

So since my 02 coupe does not have an ipod hookup, i use the tape connector, where you put the cassete inside the headunit.

So the cassete is stuck inside the headunit now, when i click on tape and eject, it says tape not found. I tried prying it out and still no luck..

wtf do i do

I used a screwdriver years ago and forced it out. If anything's going to break, it probably will be the tape, and not the headunit. Though I've been wrong before.

what you gonna have to do is remove the HU and the top cover is easy to remove with a flat screw driver. Once you are in, with a fine screw driver you have to move the eject mechanism forward so the tape ejects. Keep an eye on where it is stuck because you will have to help it eject.

while you have the head unit out, install an FM modulator to play your iPod. It works really well and is better sound quality than any tape adaptor or FM transmitter

You will need to buy an antenna adaptor (VW type) to hook it inline. I put the on-off switch and jack in the ash tray area (took out the actual ash tray) and all of this fits behind the center panel

+1, fm mods are the way to go if you don't want to replace the stereo (which is super super easy btw!!!!!!)
