Correct strut for a 2003 C240?
I have a 2003 C240 (Six Speed Manual Sedan) and the two types of struts listed on a 2001-2006 C-Class Parts List are:
203 320 39 30 - Listed as standard
203 320 36 30 - Listed as Sport
When I go online to parts sellers, they only list the 203 320 36 30 and don't say Sport or Standard, they just call it the correct strut for a 2003 C240.
I'm not sure if the 2003 C240 has a sport suspension or if it uses the sport struts by default on the 2003 C240.
Thanks for any help clearing this up.

I suggest you phone RMeuropean with your Chassis details.
The C240 has standard suspension - not "sport" or "sport pack" The struts are Sachs.

Ok, I'll call them up.
BTW, if the C240 has no sport suspension, what does this mean:
"NOTE: For cars with 203.061 Sports Package 203.061 (Code 949) 203.061"
It's from the RMEuropean site you posted.
Thanks,
Victor

no sport suspension means you just have MB luxury style suspension. sport suspension is a performance suspension that is a bit stiffer and made for handling corners better. it also makes the car sit a little lower. if you get the sport, you'll have to get it on all 4 wheels or your car won't sit right.

Also you can check www.mymercedesparts.com and look under your car to get the part number to make sure it matches.

W/c63, W/o c63, W/o sport susp, W/sport susp
I'm pretty sure I don't have C63, but again I have to know whether I have Sport Suspension or not.

In the US you had models called "Sport" with lowered, stiffer suspension, AMG front spoiler & side skirts, upgraded brakes etc.
In most of ROW this was optional for fitment to Classic, Elegance or Avantgarde & known as the "Sport Pack".
If you car looks like mine it does not have sport suspension. Ignore aftermarket wheels.

i have been shopping online for front struts, as it is that time again. simple answer, price. the sport suspension is WAY more expensive. not definitive, but if the site doesnt' specify sport, and the price is in the ballpark of the screenshot of Autohausaz (i know it came from there because it is the best deal out there) then you are looking at standard suspension parts.

i'm with glyn, you car probably does not have the sport suspension. it will have the amg style bumper like the front of mine if it does and it will sit lower.

I dont see why it really matters since both struts will fit? Also you can check your strut part# on your struts you have on. Jack your car up turn your wheel and see if you can see read the part # on it.
