Replacement Hatch Cover?
The cover to the trunk space that lifts up with the hatch, what is the official name of that thing?? I'm trying to locate a replacement for it, but not knowing what it's called is making it difficult. Does anybody know where I can get one and/or how much the dealerships charge for them?

The part number is A 203 690 55 49
You will also need the color code:
7H68 Aplaca Gray
8H87 Quartz
9C60 Anthracite
9E25 Black
www.getmercedesparts.com list it for MSRP $314.00 and they sell it for $235.50. Their search page is HERE. You enter the part number without the A at the front, and with the color code added to the end. (i.e. 20369055498h87 for the Quartz cover).
Hopefully that will help!

Call a parts department you trust and talk to them about it. They should be able to tell you two things 1) if there are any in dealer inventory anywhere in the U.S. -- and be able to have it shipped to you, and 2) tell you if/how many are available in Germany and order it. You don't get as good a price, but they will usually be between retail and the web-prices -- but if you can't get it otherwise, worth it.
Several times the parts guys I deal with have searched inventory and come up with an elusive part that was not coming up from the warehouse. It would be a shame for the cover you need to be in a box, gathering dust in Alaska.
