Replacing clips for fog light grille (C230 Sport)

Replacing clips for fog light grille (C230 Sport)
One of the mesh fog light grilles on our 2006 C230 Sport "disappeared". All four clips were broken. I have purchased a new grille and replacement clips, but am slightly puzzled on how to replace the clips. Tried prying the remains of the old from the front, but they broke and left a portion of the clip still in place. So I'm guessing I need to jack the car up, remove the fog light assembly, and go in from behind?

Good tip on the zip ties. I will do that. Thanks!
Talked with the parts guy at the local MB dealer today. He said that once the fronts of the clips are broken off, I can just punch the center portion through.

Great idea with the zip ties guys! will certainly explore that. If I use zip ties - do I not need to use the clips?
