One of the mesh fog light grilles on our 2006 C230 Sport "disappeared". All four clips were broken. I have purchased a new grille and replacement clips, but am slightly puzzled on how to replace the clips. Tried prying the remains of the old from the front, but they broke and left a portion of the clip still in place. So I'm guessing I need to jack the car up, remove the fog light assembly, and go in from behind?

also use some zip ties to secure stops loss & theft all 3 meshs were stolen from my C55 aus. $ 1600 to replace in aussie.

I'm not even using the clips on mine, my grilles are just secured by zip ties

Talked with the parts guy at the local MB dealer today. He said that once the fronts of the clips are broken off, I can just punch the center portion through.

Could you please tell me where you got the clips from? The center grille disappeared for me and I have to get one, but noticed that 3 of the clips are missing.

Great idea with the zip ties guys! will certainly explore that. If I use zip ties - do I not need to use the clips?
