Can a ECU be cleaned
Hi Guys
I drive a 2001 C180 (Non Kompressor). Took my car in for a service and told there was oil in the harness as well as the ECU.
Surprisingly no CEL came on (touchwood!)
I wanted to find out if the ECU as well as the harness can be cleaned out as well as what to look out for.

I think you can clean it out, but do not pour cleaning fluid into the ECU.....i remember some one posting up here that they had cleand their ECU, also you might need the pilot bushing changed it cost ~$15 on rmeuropean cause a week gasket on this bushing might be causing the oil to creep up the harness..........
