Question about AMG emblem

Question about AMG emblem
What's up everyone? I called the dealer one time because I wanted to know what kind of audio system I have because I wanted to install my head unit. So I gave them my vin # and they proceeded to tell me all the stuff that was on my car as far as packages are concerned. Anyways, the did tell me that mu car has an AMG package. Is this right? I'm sure it is but I want someone on here to verify. Is it all the W203's with the sideskirts, and mesh in the front bumper the ones with AMG package equipped? So as far as my point of this question is to see your opinions on putting an AMG emblem on the car. Now I'm not trying to make it look like an AMG vehicle. I wanted to uy one and put it in the actual sideskirt or something. I just want opinions to see if you guys think it will be tacky or what not. I think it will look good as long as I'm not trying to fake people out because I'm not. If the car has an AMG package then why not right? All input is appreciated.

My opinion is that you can put wings on a pig, but it still ain't gonna fly. 
Obviously, do what you want - it's your car. But my opinion is that unless you have the engine, you don't have an AMG. It's like the "S-Line" option that Audi has on their cars, somewhat tacky.

No I understand that and I'm not trying to make it something it's not. I'm not planning on debadging the car or anything. Anyone who knows what they are looking at will know that it's not an AMG car by looking at the trunk. It's not like putting vtec on a Mitsubishi. If the car actually has an AMG package then it's representing something that's actually on the car is what I'm saying. That doesn't mean I'm going to do it, just further describing my point. It looks so far that it's a no-go.

Yeah true that. I appreciate everyones input. In my mind I just thought it would be different because I wouldn't be putting it on the trunk like an AMG vehicle. Either way.
