Synch your windows
put all the way down and then put them up and hold the button for 3 seconds extra

You can do it all at once with the remote. Roll your windows down with your remote and hold it for 10 sec or so, then roll it up and hold it for 10 sec or so. This will sync them all at once.

Sync the sunroof by itself, then. Close it fully, and keep the button pressed for a 10 count. If it doesn't resync, then there's a more serious issue.

still cant get the roof to one touch close even after resync, it closes 90 percent of the way, and then reopens....all other one touch features are working

sorry vdub but sounds like your problem is more serious. I had this happen under warranty and the dealer replaced my entire sunroof assembly. It was fixed for a year or so and broke again. So I've learned to live with it since i ran out of warranty.
I've tried cleaning and relubing the track to no avail and have yet to find a fix for it.

Can you sync your windows to open with the key remote?
If so please tell me how, I know its definitely possible because it mentions it in the handbook but doesnt tell you how

You have to be maybe 1-3 feet from your car (some other people could be further, but I have to be real close), point your key to the door handle, press unlock, and then press unlock a second time and hold it this time. You can actually close the windows the same way, but pressing the lock button instead.
This is a really faulty feature on the w203 though. Mines only worked like 3 times out of the 50 times I tried lol

Yeah, make sure you're really close to your car when you do this..

Agreed. It's a great creature comfort feature in the hot summer--vents the air in a few seconds, but it works on a very intermittent basis on my current C280 and my previous C230. I've never pressed twice though--I think the manual says just press and hold. Regardless, it's funky and unreliable.
Everytime I do some takeaway food, the stench of the food smell runs in the car, when I get home I always do the summer open. Leave it for 1 hour to let it freshen up, and close it. I do it this like 2-3 times a week, and never failed me.
But I do it very close to the door handle. Like 10 - 15 cm away.

That's awkward. Mine ALWAYS worked, be it all open or all close.
