Hello all! new member and new car - C280 4MATIC --- UPDATE 5/11/2011
Hey everybody!
Been lurking on this forum for a couple months now ever since I purchased a salvage 2007 C280 4Matic. Have been searching for a keeper car for a while after switching back and forth between cars for the last couple years. I think I found the one!
The car was damaged on the drivers side and rear when i got it. Thought it was a great deal at slightly above $10,000 after repairs and only 13,000+ miles!!!
Just brought the car home a couple days ago after getting minor body work and paint done in order to pass inspection. There's still a few little things to fix; most notably the front and rear bumper. My inspection is in 2 weeks and once that's outta the way I'm gonna get everything perfect and start modding!
Initial plans:
Big star grille (installed 5/11/11)
Flat hood emblem (installed 5/11/11)
Clear side markers (purchased)
6000k halogen bulbs
Sound system
18 or 19 inch rims....C63 AMG style???
AMG Exhaust tips???
AMG trunk lip???
Tint???... illegal in NY :[
Anyways, I just wanted to introduce myself. Thanks for looking and I hope to update the thread very soon!

thanks everyone!
yea when i had the trunk lid painted i just left them off. i think it looks alot cleaner.
i'm upstate in rochester. 
i went with the clear side markers because i think the black looks kinda odd like there's a black plug at the end of the impact strip if that makes any sense.
on another note, maybe you can help me with my bulb troubles..looks like you got the same headlamps as me.
the owners manual points at two different parts of the diagram and says H7 bulb for low beam AND H7 bulb for high beam...does that mean i have to buy two pairs?
and then the fog lamps say H7 for "Corner-illuminating front fog lamps* "
OR
HB4 bulbs for regular front fog lamp.
How do I know which type i have? the * is never explained...

You can get the flat badge right at your dealer for $25 - $30.
Part # 204-817-06-16
It is the stock badge from the W204. It will pop right in in 2 seconds.

thanks for the warm welcome everyone.
ebay. search w203 grille or c-class grille. if you're patient/look around you can get it for about $100.
it's silver. i decided against black because i enjoy the look of the w204 front end.

update!
just waxed and polished the car this evening.
installed this week: clear side-markers, chrome exhaust tips
next project: sound system...any suggestions?
