Getting coilovers for a wagon?

Hey guys had a quick questions will coilovers for a W203 sedan fit on a W203 wagon? I know that it says excluding on most sites but I dont udnerstand why other than possibly needing a stiffer spring rate in the rear?

Thanks

Yes, should fit w/o any problems. I installed a H&R Cup Kit on my wagon that was also listed for all W203 except wagon. You are also correct that the rear did sag a little (I corrected by changing the rear springs).

Also, hit up glocati, he has coilovers on his wagon. Or hang on, he'll probably chime in here soon.

Is your wagon 4Matic?

Thanks I messaged him and he said the same thing, and no the wagon is not 4matic.

Any recomendations on coilovers? Was thinking about getting BC coilovers dont want to get the H&R's as there isnt enough adjustability and they dont go low enough

Yeah, wagon's rear does sag a little more due to the extra weight on it. So you'd probably have to adjust it accordingly if you're getting them coilovers. I personally think the coilovers are very expensive.

Yes, Henry installed sedan specific kit in his wagon with no fitment issues. So, with this in mind we surmise that it is a spring rate issue ( not fitment) in the rear, as the butt end of the wagon is heavier than sedan.

The only outfit I found that made coilovers specific to the w203 wagon is H&R. They will run about a grand $$.

As an FYI, the H&Rs do go pretty low. My wagon is pretty low and I have
about 7-8 thread lefts left in adjustment, so it could go lower. The fronts are not that hard to adjust, you must remove the front wheel to do it, however. The rears are kind of a b#tch.

I see how do you go about adjusting the rears? Ive heard you have to drop the control arm to get the adjuster?

I spoke to BC today they said that once im ready to order I can get custom spring rates front and rear so im gonna stiffen up the rear spring for sure
