How much spare room was there when you did the install? Do you think that there would of been enough room to of done the fxr retro fit? Those projectors seem like they would not have the back lighting issue your experiencing.

the back lighing issue can be solved with high temp aluminum tape but to be honest it will barely fit in there. There is someone on this forum who did it? Its a recent post. The picure I posted on this Thread is a morimoto compared to a FX projector

Oh ok, it was just a thought on the back lighting issue. I was just wondering. I am about to order a set of projectors to retro into a set of headlights. Ive used the morimoto ones before but that was for a bike so i had plenty of room.

well these were reallly easy to do. the only thing I had to dremel was the two plastic tabs on the back of each headlamp. You'll see what i'm talking about once you try to get the adapter plate on

I should've listened to my dad when he said to use RTV Silicon Black Gasket to hold the shrouds in place. This is my fourth time reopening them lol. Took me an huor to do it this time!! I think thats a record! But I took some pictures while i was doing it. FYI

The Centric Hub rings from TRS are awesome!! But do not rely on them staying put. Use the Centric hub rings with black RTV silicone and that thing is not going anywhere!

sooo easy that one you get the headlights off and opened. If you can figure out LEGO without instructions then your good to go

Will that Morimoto retrofit kit you posted work with these? Is that install that difficult?

I've taken apart Subaru STi headlights, but never these. (Kind of scared to with how much they cost!).

Whatta you think?

Could you write up a how-to for us? I'm very intrigued...

you should change your shrouds to the gattling gun. I just install my set of h1, i will post a pic of them when i get my bumper repainted

I was going to do that this weekend actually! And i believe the lightoutput would be better also because with the E55 shrouds it is letting light out behind the shdrouds and the gattling covers the entire projector. Because when i was along side a wall I do see a little bit of scattered light with th eE55

it actually is a lot better. No light sneaks out the back. Its completely covered. They work great.

Looks great man. The only thing that i did different was black out the headlight. My car is black to it looks cleaner with no chrome. Ill post a pic when i can.
