C320 4Matic Transmission problem

just purchased used 2003 c320 4matic. Purchased at auction. Transmission had water/coolant in drain pan. Mechanic flushed tranny and car worked fine for about a week. Car is acting up and the same thing has occured again. Water/Coolant in tranny. Is this a definite replace the transmission? Or do you think I can get by with doing the flush again on the tranny and changing out the radiator? My transmission mechanic wants me to replace the tranny and he is going to put a outside cooler for the tranny on the radiator. Found a used transmission that carries a 1 year warranty that came on a t-boned C320 with only 47k miles. My cost approximately 2k. Any thoughts?? if i only get the cooler added and the tranny flushed it will set me back only $300.00.

Fit a Behr radiator - cheap & will fix the problem.

Like mentioned above... put a Behr rad in it and flush it then hope for the best.
My '03 4matic had a transmission rebuilt about a year ago at an indie shop for $3000. I would avoid that if you can help it.

C320 4Matic
I was told by my tranny guy not to do a rebuild. Especially if their has been water/coolant damage in trans. the water/coolant eats at the gears. So it looks i am getting a used one that was in an accident. (I am now having second thoughts, and would like to save a lot of money) Does any one know the parts that i need to do the transmission flush? After I picked up car from auction, i was desperate to get fixed so i purchased $395.oo in parts to flush out radiator. I feel like one of the items was not necessary when doing a regular flush (140-270-08-61, $283.00) This may have been a part that they thought would help fix the problem that i was having at the time. These are the other parts they provided (ia am assuming for the flush): oil filter, seal ring, lock pin, Elastomer V23D2 and Gear oil (the latter items totaled $112.00. Has anyone heard instead of replacing the radiator, cap off radiator portion that goes to the tranny and install an outside cooler. this way the transmission will have no contact with radiator. I can get that done for $150.00 and never have to worry about the radiator again. Any thoughts?? Thanks for your input!
