Anyone know invoice for c230?

Does anyone know the actual invoice for the c230k? I thought someone on the previous board states that their dealer said it's 93% of msrp, and not the price shown on Edmunds.

The calculation difficulty is that the Edmunds calculator somehow omits the charge for metallic paint from the dealer invoice calculation. (I emailed them about this error). That amount is about $600, which makes the invoice price off by about 2%. I got a copy of an invoice from a dealer and the other numbers were right on with the edmunds numbers. The invoice price is about 93% of msrp, and adding back about $600 to the edmunds invoice price puts you on the right number.

Thanks. I saw that the metallic paint showed $0 on their web page, so I added $640 into the invoice + options total.

I had been scanning the previous board and someone had mentioned that their dealer's invoice price did not match Edmunds, so I wanted to check to see if it was accurate or not.

BTW Dr Mike, did you discuss extra fees (advertising., conveyance fee, etc.) w/Jordan? I'm wondering if those end up making the car be MSRP and thus it could have been purcahsed at any dealer who would skip the fees?

P.S., I always get antsy/nervous whenever I spend money, so I'm only going to get worse until Feb when our cars come in. Hope I'm not on my way to 'paxil time'.

Paxil Time

I know EXACTLY what you mean Bud. I'm already trying to worry out all of the things that will go wrong with my car on/before the Feb. delivery date. Try Celexa--much better than Paxil, none of those, er, unfortunate bedroom side effects..... ;-)

better alternatives than paxil

Hmmm...maybe we should have a "pre-purchase anxiety" thread. Helping people overcome anxiety (performance, social, phobias, etc.), without drugs, is what is paying for my Benz, so I could offer some helpful suggestions.

RE the purchase price from MB of Greenwich, they do add on a "conveyance fee" of $250, which is mid-range for CT dealers. They did not add an advertising coop fee (it doesn't appear on my invoice).

The final price, including the $250 "conveyance" fee, was 3% over invoice. For the c230 with auto, c5, and metallic paint (i know--I should get the c7 package, but I'm not), MSRP is 30,235. Invoice is 28,165. Invoice +3% comes in just about 29,000. There isn't a lot of markup on this model, but, I can sure put the 1200 savings to use elsewhere. The dealer also gets a 3% holdback, which on a build to order is all additional profit.

Hope this helps allay some anxiety.

I'm not sure about Edmunds but the calculation for invoice from MSRP is as follows: MSRP- Destination (645.00) X .93% + Destination (645.00) = invoice price not including market charges for advertising.

C230K Base Model Invoice is $23,204. Edmunds.com does not include the 'IRG Participation' charge because it varies throughout the country. For example, the LA Region IRG is $400. ...RAB

For what it's worth, I see Edmunds' True Market Value price has dropped from MSRP to about $150 below for the C230K.

I suspect all the 0% financing deals from the domestic US producers are putting some pressure on Benz. Or maybe, that's just what I'm wishing, since my Coupe's on order for a late December delivery.
