wheels 18s and 19s
Anybody have any pictures of their C230 with 18' wheels on? I just want to see how it looks like compare to 19's. I want to buy a set but staggered and 18s are the best choice right now. Thanks

There is a secret location on this forum called the W203 Picture Thread, only a few people know about it but it has all the pictures you could ever imagine inside with 17s, 18s, and 19s. Its hard to find though but I will give you a hint, its at the top of the W203 Forum page!! Good luck and so you know 18s are more comfortable than 19s if comfort is important to you.

I went back and forth on this topic for quite a while. 18's or 19's. Consulted some of the long time members to get opinions, and each said 19's. I was focused on ride quality, and still ended up going with 19's, and I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. For me as well, I feel the car looks a lot better.

19's will look best, but they would be a pain to ride (IMHO), but the 18's are the best of both worlds, but yes, the 19's would still look "better" in a sense.

I have 19s on mine right now and the ride quality is average at best. That's granted I'm in LA and the streets/roads are some of the worst around. 18s are the way to go. If you're worried about wheel gap you can always lower your car on some quality coilovers like KW or even springs to minimize the wheel gap and possibly improve your suspension while you're at it. The difference isn't that huge from 18s to 19s as compared with 17s to 19s so you'll be saving yourself comfort, acceleration and a little mileage.

I say 18's all the way for a 203. . . 19's imo are a bit too large not to mention tires will be a tad bit cheaper for 18's

And also do note that I am forcing in a 225/45/18 instead of the "more commonly used" 40... since I'm really trying to pinch that extra comfort more. And I had to heat the inner parts of my front mud guard so that my tires don't rub when I turn. So far it's working it real swell.
19"s are really really great for looks, but that's it IMHO.

Well it really depends on where you live too really. If you have smooth flat nice roads all over, then yes, I'd agree you won't feel much difference. But with bumps and humps and potholes, you'd never wish you were driving a 19" (my personal experience).

Just wondering because I'll be switching down from 19s to 18s. Want that extra comfort and quality ride.

The 18" setup I'm running is 225/45/18. Usually people would want to use 225/40/18 to make the rim looks larger and less doughnut-ty, and avoid the tire rubbing against the inner mud flap. But I'm a stubborn man so I forced it in and heated the mud guard instead hehehe...

I love the 18s. Always do, and I think I always will. But the temptation of going to 19 is always there... so I been switching back and forth. I was running 19" with 245/35/19 tires. They're not bad, but against bad roads, they're kinda band. I can feel the rough road and the sound of the wheel against the street is kinda annoying too.

first page of my thread will show you 18's.
what's more imporant is getting the right tires. and consider the price and availability of tires as well. 19's will not only be more expensive but you won't have as much of a selection as with the 18's as far as brand and classification.
silver c you are running 225/45?? i'm running 225/40 and when i turn the wheel all the way to one side it rubs on the wheel well, i can only imagine what 45's would be like!
