2006 C230, 2006 BMW M3, bye bye C55:(
Just a little help.
I have a 2006 C230 and need to do the rotors, bushings, and rims on the car.
I have a few questions.
1. Will the EBC slotted rotors here work for the w203.5? Keep in mind I will be using stock brake setup, including pads.
Here are a few others I was looking at:
Will these work?
http://www.rmeuropean.com/Part-Numbe..._10902E10.aspx
http://www.rmeuropean.com/Part-Numbe..._BD45149C.aspx
http://www.rmeuropean.com/Part-Numbe..._5C1313F8.aspx
1. Here are the bushings I am looking at. Will they work?
http://www.carparts.com/results/?PN=...0&Nf=price2|GT 0.001&N=0&Nr=universal:0
For the rim paint, I just wanted to know what the paint code is for it or where I could purchase it from online.
Thanks guys. I know I dont frequent the forums much but I am active in the Mercedes community and have all the tools needed and plenty of mechanic friends to do this with. I just have no clue when it comes down to the parts and their numbers.
Thanks again guys,
Sam

I will soon be in the market for disks and pads, myself, but until I change mine, I'm still a newbe - But, the disks look like the right part. I've been advised elsewhere on this forum that RMEuropean is the place to get them. There is some controversy over the best pads, but IIRC, EBC were not thought of as well as the Akebono ceramic. I don't know if that translates to disks - in other words, I don't know how the EBC disks you pointed to compare to other brands. Brembo is an obvious choice, but I'm not sure that's necessary for a street car - certainly I don't think it's called for for my car. There are other threads on brakes and what people have tried and liked. If you can't find them, I'll try to help you out.
Here's a DIY link:https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...-diy-faqs.html. There are more. Do a search for DIY in the W203 forum, you'll find them.
I can't help you on the bushing or the wheel paint. Here's a link about wheel paint that might be helpful: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...er-silver.html
Good luck!

In any case, they seem to demand a pretty high premium over other brands of rotors.
I just did a search for more info and I think I read that they were Brembo... I also saw where the Balo brand from RMEuropean was highly thought of. Also a lot of guys preferred the OEM pads... I haven't decided which I'll get yet.

Hey guys.
Sorry, I am currently closing a new condo so its been a hectic week so far.
Brembo pads are what these cars run and yes, ebc or akebono have been recommeded by many around here.
I just have to do rotors since the pads are brand new. I would stick with oem since I care more about stopping power than brake dust. Also, ceramic pads will EAT the rotors much faster than the oem ones will.

Brembo makes the Sport/Sport Pack caliper with "Mercedes Benz" on it. The sliding standard "Luxury/Elegance" caliper is sourced elsewhere.
Make sure you specify your car correctly as the Sport rotors/discs are of larger diameter than the Luxury.
The 3 way bush/bearing shown above appears to be a direct replacement for the genuine article. Remember you need the fluted 3 way bolts to use those bushes properly for full alignment.

Thanks for setting me straight, Glyn!
Obviously, you are correct and I was mistaken. I had heard that ceramic pads were actually easier on the rotors. Am I mistaken about that, too?

Thanks again man.
Do you think you could post a picture of the 3 way bushing bolt I would need?
Or possibly show where I could get it from?

Just need the answer to my question on which tool I need for the bushings, and if the rotor set I found will work for my cars stock pads.
Thats it
