2005 MB C230 Kompressor sport headlamp washer help!?
last week i purchased a beautiful MB c230, its the best car ive ever driven ( i cant imagine what the higher classes are like) but anyways, theres a button on the dash that looks like a headlight washer, when i press it, it makes a sound like it should be spraying, but its not. is it a headlight washer? i know there are little plastic cutouts that flip out and spray the headlights on the E class, idk if this is the same or not it looks like it has a cutout but its only on one side (see picture), ive included refference pictures, what is this button? and how do i make it work?!

Two ideas one your car had headlight washers and they were removed/covered up with a bumper from a car without them. Bumpers with the holes are way more expensive then the ones without. Second the headlight switch went bad and someone replaced it with one from a car with washers.
So do you have any fluid leaking from the front of the car when you push the button because it should still leak the washer fluid out the bottom.
Is this a usa build car if so pm your vin and i can find out if your car has washers or not.

the vin is WDBRF40J75A736262 made in Germany is what the sticker on the door frame says, i also didnt see any fluid out the bottom (although its raining) but theres deffinatly a pump going somewhere!?

I would suspect, with the switch and the BiXenon headlights that the car has had the front bumper replaced with one without headlight washers. Since you can hear it try to spray, it probably just has the tube from the pump plugged, since the wrong front bumper is on it. We will know for sure when someone looks on EPC.

So the car had bix at one time that is interesting. So as I figured earlier it was probably wrecked and then fixed as cheap as possible. Like I said the bumpers without cutouts are cheaper as well as aftermarket headlights are dirt cheap compared to real bix.

Are those aftermarkets that look like BiX? I don't know them that well... Looking closer, I guess so. Good eye Trey!

so if im getting this right the car had BiX headlights and a different bumper, was wrecked, then fixed with normal headlights and a cheaper bumper to save money. ?

And just think, when the mod bug bites you and you buy a pair of factory BiX's, all the auto-leveling equipment is there. Of course, then you will be wanting a bumper.....
