I also like how they use a coupe vs a sedan. I would have gotten an m3 sedan to go against the c63.

Ahhh, yes, the great Royal Purple/M3Post conspiracy!

The only thing that would have really helped would have been a driver with more experience, or if that driver had had more seat time.

You can put the best driver in the world in the C63 and it's no match for the M3 except in a straight line. It's good it's as fast as it is, though, as that minimizes the amount of time you have to look at how hideous it is.

as far as I know and experienced, a lot of BMW owners waste a lot of money on cosmetic mods. I see a lot ppl with MB nowaday trying to push for performance mods because our cars do need more performance. then again the culture for two brands are different.

It's all up on the driver. Switch drivers and the MB would win. The only thing performance wise BMW wins over Benz is handling (so I hear).

Pretty lame and unprofessional comparison. It would have been better to have the same driver (non-partial and professional) do the comparison tests with each of the cars.

The video really shows nothing other than it depends on who is driving the car. IMO this does not say much for Royal Purple in how they structure the challenges, I hope they don't test their products in the same loose and unscientific way that at the end of the day proves nothing

Saying that I think that Top Gear said that the M3 was a better driving car when they did their comparison of the M3 vs C63 vs RS4. Clarkson says that the C63 will kill you

I agree. The E63, on the other hand, looks great to me. People probably get the impression that I hate AMG or something but that's not the case at all. I like all the forced induction AMG cars. I felt like a big V8 in the C-class was a cop out. As much of a power advantage as a C63 has over the M3 (especially torque) it should absolutely destroy it, but it just doesn't. I've never liked domestic muscle cars and I don't like that philosophy period, even from Germany. Mercedes is using a machine gun to try to match BMW's sniper.

I like M and AMG, in different ways. I respect them both and would love to have either (with the exception of the stupid hideous C63).

Yep they did. The challenge was to get the Stig to hit an apple placed on the side of a corner on a track with the car, while drifting through the corner. The idea was to measure the accuracy of the steering and handling in general.

The Stig managed it only with the M3.

There is no doubt that M cars handle much better than AMG cars...the question is how much better, within the same class, keeping in mind the M cars are more expensive than the equivalent AMG.

Suicide by C63!

I guess I'm the odd person out here, as I like the looks of the C63. I like the lines and the angles, although I also like the organic shapes of the W203s. I also love the sound.

However, the E63 -- to me -- is the ultimate vehicle. Unfortunately, equipped the way I like one, it just isn't going to be in my garage before I'm in the ground, especially the way the job market has been. But my little Coupe still has lots of life left!

Lots of good an E63 will do in your garage if you're on the other side of the grass. but I agree with you on the E63 part. It is sooo much more attractive than the C63 and apparently much better at managing the power it has. I love the E63, especially the new biturbo V8 one (cause I heart forced induction).
