My car currently does not have a Comand system nor does it have a Bose system in it. I currently use a cassette adapter with a 3.5mm headphone jack plugged into my phone for my music and navigation. However, I'm thinking of upgrading my interface and I am stuck between the Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD and the Sony XAV-70BT.
These do not have navigation in it and both cost roughly $500 each w/o installation. The navigation will be from my beloved Motorola Droid X that will sync the audio (music and voice navigation) to the unit via Bluetooth. What are your suggestions?

I have the AVH-P4300DVD installed in my car. I am in love with it. I say go for that, you won't be disappointed especially with the ability to use Pandora and play any video that can be played from your phone (I expect it to work for the Droid, because it plays videos from my iPhone).
Plus you can purchase it from this site for $440. This is where I got it, it's cheaper than any other site I saw.

If you use coupon code TECHM8 you'll get $10 off your order... just if you go the Pioneer route.

Which one has the control wire to allow you to still use your OEM steering wheel buttons? That would be my choice.

either one you'll have to purchase a separate kit to get steering wheel control. I just purchased the Metra ASWC Axxess, it automatically programs the HU to work on the steering wheel, took like 15mins to install and let it program
