Battery/Alternator. In for the 3rd time...
First it happened 2 weeks ago. I was downtown and got a Battery/Alternator warning on the dash. Then my driving day lights started to flicker ON and OFF like a cop car. I was lossing electrical power in the car also ON and OFF.
Also driving home on the highway i got lot of fingers from people. They might have thought i was flashing them with my lights to move over.
So took the car in few days later. MB changed the Alternator and sent me on my way. The next day same problem. Alternator/battery warning + Head lights going crazy again.
Phoned the dealer right away and got the car in few days later. This time they changed The SAM CONTROL MODULE..

Now i have the same problem. Just happened yesterday. I am kind of getting P!$$ed. I have no time to play around with this problem. Anyone had a problem like this?

another common electrical problem among Benzes, my car's REAR SAM needs replacement bcoz i lost a lot of functions like: turn signals, keyless entry, fuel gauge, remote headrest tilt, parktronic, trunk wont open, instrument cluster, dome lamps, engine dies. mines still awaiting for parts. good luck

After reading that very fragmented story from the tech, it seems like they found the code on the DAS and erased it without fixing the problem. Then the problem went away for a short time when they test drove it. But since they didn't fix anything, it came back. Sounds like you need another trip to the dealer.
