I've always been a big Mercedes fan and I have always liked the smaller sedans. 190E was the beez knees for entry level motoring when I was a kid in Germany, had I have stayed there it would have been something I'd have bought had I been old enough for a drivers license.

I really like the styling of the W203. I like the exterior of the w202 but the interior was a bit bland. The w203 face-lift models stand out, some aspects I like better then the CLK's.

The styling on the w203 was also very well done IMO. Looked more modern but kept the Mercedes limousine look. I adored the S-Class and was happy to see the C class based on it.

There isnt much I can fault on my face-lift interior. I looks very good. Memory seats would be nice but its something I can certainly live without. All the controls are straight forward.

Driving it does really bring a smile to my face at times.

My real preference has always been an E-Class, but they do cost more over here and my wife really wanted something smaller. I am very happy the C-Class and I think its a good, non-hatchback and with more power then your standard entry level BMW 320i & Audi A4 (consider; entry level in Australia is 4 cyl BMW not 6 like in the USA) car.

Lets see here.....To start i love the exterior, such a beautiful car to just look at. The C class begs to have it picture taken. I absolutely love the 2.5 V6 matted to the 6 speed gear box, while not a very powerful car in terms of HP (201) I feel confident passing on the highway and man what a joy ripping though the gears on a nice summer day.
The chassis is unflappable, such a strong sturdy feeling. after some time i finally got use to the cruse control level, i now find it better then steering wheel controls i was use to. The small size can be a pain with 4 or 5 people in the car. but i have no kids so most of the time i can put the seat back as far as i like with no trouble.
All and all for the money the C class is a great car even with them annoying "Left lamp" messages.

Since I posted so much in that other thread, I guess I should add something positive here.

I really like the practicality of the ccoupe's hatch, and still love Orion blue; it's a very good color for a Benz.

And stepping from it to my other car, I always miss the extras (that MB saw fit to, in its infinite wisdom, partially decontent later) like auto headlights and wipers. And the panorama roof is always great to open up, it really gives the car a great feel in warm weather. Glad to see it spread throughout the line.

Seeing as how I've replaced most everything else, I don't know how much more praise I can say about it in stock form.

I like the overall exterior design, the front face and the headlamps are absolutely iconic.

+1

cargo space is a huge plus...

and for a few additions:
-opening windows/sunroof from outside using key
-quickly closing/opening windows using the re-circulate key
-good leg room in the back

also the small size... most cars seem to be getting bigger these days and i always get a kick out of seeing huge sedan's trying to parallel park.

I'd definitely agree with you on the overall size/inside space. I was looking for a coupe/hatch that could fit four real people, and in 2001, this was really the only car that fit.

Of course, since then, I think I've only had rear seat passengers about 10 times max. Though it's nice to have the option.

Going from a 2007 Honda Accord to a 2001 C320, surprisingly I appreciate A LOT of things. The 2001 German car had so much more pros than the newer Honda accord. I drive was smoother, the car as a whole looks better, and small things like the auto headlights make me appreciate it even more.

Plus just having a Mercedes is a plus where I live. Not many do, so I actually get people thinking my car is a 2010 haha

I love the one touch windows. I am used to the driver window being one touch ( I am a recently reformed gm guy) but having the other windows work the same way is great. I have to say that eventhough my car is almost 7 years old the clutch and shifter are both in amazing shape, not sure if I got lucky or it is just outstanding quality to begin with. but most of all I have to say the way it handles, I have never had a car stick to the road and beg to go faster the way it does, ESP in the world of four cylinders. I think next time around I'm gonna test out an e class, if the entry level is this nice I have to see what else mb has to offer.
