it has been released here in belgium for about 2 months i guess...
There will be an amg model, and it will be 55 amg if i remeber right
the pictures you got there are not the official AMG model. it's just the sports/amg bodykit mounted on the car.
It is a very beautifull car in real life, I wasn't very found of it when i saw the pics at first, but then when it arrived at our showrooms... It looks so much better in real...

Here AMG say it will be called an SLK63 but don't disclose which engine. Rumours run between 5.5 V8 twin turbo, 5.5 NA & a Twin Turbo V6

Sort of off-topic but still related. What are the speed limits in SA? Here in AU, we can go 100km/h max speed in metro area and 110km/h max in the country (I think Darwin has some higher speed limits). So owning an AMG is kind of redundant here in Australia. Also police are heavily targeting what they call 'hoons' so even accelerating fast, leving behind any sort of tyre mark on the road gives them the power to impound. After 3 strikes, they can crush your car!

Lots of misbehaving here too. But its so easy to loose your licence here for a few months, its kind of normal that just about evey friend has lost theirs at one time. I haven't, but the again, I always keep within the limit. I wouldn't have bought a C200 if I were a speed freak. Although, in my younger days, I was only a few points off my licence being lost, and I wasn't going fast. But I had a few at-fault very minor prangs. I think they want to introduce that if you get caught just holding your mobile phone, you loose half your demerit point there and then.
