strange noise between 60-80 and 90-100kmh

so the last few days ive heard a strnage noise from the rear of my 03 c240 4matic wagon ONLY under load and only durning light accerleration the rpm are between 2-3k above or below that NO noise and it only dose it between 60-80kmh and 90-100kmh

to me it sounds like if you put agressive tread tires on a jeep or truck

my tires have about 4k on them oem rims with conti dsw tires brand new

only has done it for past week or so today was the worst seem louder

my tranny also seems to be downshifting harder into 1st and upshifting 1st to 2nd (fluid/filter done by dealer 10k ago) car has 127km on it

here are 2 pics of the bottom left side of rad is it the new or old one???





and should i park this right away or can i use if for the newt week maybe 20k daily Ill do the rad if needed myself
should i also have the tranny fluid flushed by MB??
could the flush wait a few weeks so i can send a sample down to blackstone?

its now shuddering in1st to 2nd gear so it is a transmission problem when i put it in winter it stopped shuddering

going to order a rad

how can a do the transmission fluid I dont have the factory dipstik nor a temp gun

dose it need a change or a flush???

i need input/advice here guys

going to change rad for sure

but is my transmission KIA??? NO check engine light just started the shudder tonight drove it slowly like that for 3kms tops

I was once told by my indie that a transmission shudder may be caused by a broken/loose transmission coupling.. Im not very familiar with transmission but thats what popped into my small head just now. Others may be able to give you a much better advice, so wait for it..

Ok brother, I had this problem for the longest time and spent alot of time diagnosing this.. the car stutters between certain speeds and you hear it from the rear of the vehicle and if you slowly accelerate the vehicle there comes a point when you can almost know when its gonna happen...anyhow here is what you need to know...

this problem is commonly linked to 2 things...first one is if you your valeo radiator leaked into your tranny fluid then you are toast...meaning your tranny may need to be replaced....thats a bit extreme...there is tons of stuff on it here

the other case is ( this was the case with me) that your tranny fluid is low...like Glynn once said 90% of the tranny problems arise from the tranny fluid..there is a o-ring or a gasket where the electrical plug fits in your tranny and that starts to leak and your fluid drops ... again there is tons of stuff on this issue on here...but you may not see the fluid on the floor because of the splash panels underneath the vehicle.

so first thing first..check the tranny fluid level..if you dont have the dipstick then use any flexible long spring or even small plastic pipe just so you could see how deep it goes into the oil and i could tell you tomorrow how many centimeters it should be. sort of a quick check.

well my oil sample is on its way to blackstone ive ordered a rad, a dipstick, filter,gaskets and o-rings oh and the tranny fluid as well

for any members here in ONTARIO I found the shell 134 for $7.00 a bottle my local MB dealer want $25.00 per bottle for the same stuff you must buy it by the case 12 bottles Its supposed to be in on wed if anyone is interested ill tell you wed night after i have case in hand!
