C230K sport coupe transmission issue

First of all, thanks for a great forum. I have read a few topics and it's really cool seeing how passionate people are helping others. You are awsome!

To my problem: I have a C230K sport coupe 2001 with seqtronic? (not sure about the name it's a manual/automat 6G box). I sometime looses gear, sometimes it's just to put it back in and other times I need to restart the car. Today when driving home I lost automatic "A" mode but could continue driving in manual mode but only using gears 1-3 + R.

It started some time ago when the yellow enging warning lamp on the dashbord lightned up. I had a service/assyst B booked and asked them to pull the codes. I got answer they could not, they got "system error" or similar. They could not access the computer and said it was probably due to oil found at ECU pins coming from cam sensor and magnet, sensor+magnet+harness would be ~€15-20k according to the shop . I decided to change the sensor and magnet my self (thanks to DIY on this forum!) to stop the leakage and then clean all the connectors with electro cleaner on regular basis. So I did and it seem to work fine, cost landed on €2k instead

Next step would then be to go back to the shop and ask them to pull the codes. But to be on the safe side I decided to go to a DIY shop and lift the car to check connectors realated to transmission. Bad news, found quite some oil on the plastic protection covering the hydralic pump. (silver thing at #3 on the picture, not sure it's the hydralic pump) is this the hydralic pump? Unfortinately I could not spend as much time as I wanted analyzing from where the oil came as the DIY shop was closing and I ended up 10min late..

I started thinking about two things:

1. I previously had transmission problem pulling fuses in Aug 2009, I then changed a pump (A2095530201, is this the same as the silver thing on the pic?) if this one now is leaking then they should fix it on warrenty as it was done in a shop.

2. The oil found on the cover was yellowish and in really good condition, could it be related to oil spill when I changed engine oil last week? I did spill some.. Also the transmission oil was changed at a shop last year.

I got a bit confused and I'm not sure what to do, I can't go blaming the shop if it's related to my oil chagne last week.. What color is transmission oil? When changing the pump they charged me for oil A001989240310, where can I find more info about the oil, what color? Searched but no luck.

I pressed out quite some oil maybe ~0,5dl from the spunge on the inside ot the cover, then I cleaned connector #1&2 on the picture with electro cleaner. No problems when driving home, let's wait until tomorrow.

Any ideas? I will probably try to go to the shop and pull codes asap, then take some time really cleaning the area trying to find out from where the oil comes. How can I find out how to decide if the oil is from transmission or engine?

Started thinking it was the clutch travel sensor that needed to change..

Thanks again for being awsome!

Not many people here with Sequetronic, not sold in the US.
But one person here was able to solve his issue,
Vakity. You could start by reading his threads. He able to resolve his problem,
and you might be able to make contact with him by sending a PM.
