Has anyone replaced their catalytic converter with a non-factory cat in California? I have a 2003 C230 Komp sedan and I need one that fits, but the only "legal" cat for this car in CA is the factory cat = $1500. Is there a cat for another vehicle that will fit? I can get it installed and passed inspection, just want to make sure it fits and works correctly. I'm guessing I'm not the first person considering this given the cost of the factory replacement. Thanks!
