Oil in air intake...???
Hi guys,
I've a problem on my CL203 230k m271 :
After replace the engine harness ( oil leak cam sensor to the ECU) and the O2 sensor, i've again the"check engine" lamp ON...
When i'm process to the replacement, i've checked oil after the air filter, in the hose, in Kompressor and in air admission.
I have cleaned all parts and clean the 4 gasoline injectors with ultrasound.
Check engine is deasappered and comme back 150 miles after.
I'm asking where the oil are comming to te air intake... Nobody have an idee ?
I'm apologize for my bad fluent language...

Oil in the air intake is common on Kompressor engines. Some people fit catch tanks. Oil is from the engine breathers.

When replacing my alternator VR I had to take off the wide band silencer (the connection from the Kompressor to the intercooler) and was amazed at how much oil collects in it. Others have reported the same so it is normal and not to worry

thank for answers !
I'm French Mercedes addict, present in others Forums, but in this ****ing Euro-country , all Mercedes are engineered by Diesel power...
To find help for Gasoline Models is hard difficult.
Today i'm driving with others vehicules approx 150 hp Diesel, i compare my 230k coupé to this others, and it appear my is HP limited. It 30-40 hp missing...
I have change this parts :
-wire harness
-2 Cam sensors
-Cam RPM exhaust sensor
- o2 sensor
-4 injectors reconditioned
But the Check engine is again orange.
symptoms :
-Less Torque like normal
-Check engine
your diagnosis ?
Best regards from MB France

the only way to tell what the problem is to hook up and OBDII scanner and see what codes it throws, then fix what is needed

Please get an OBDII scanner & read stored codes. Plug is under the sateering column behind a rectangular flap.
It will stop a lot of guessing.

I found 1 CODE :
-Exaust cam sensor : No signal or bad signal.
I replaced it before, and i've check connection of wire harness : no problems.
Check engine is allready orange....
Horse power are OK.
