anyone know why the new style key only takes one battery where as in the older style we have to have 2 batteries??

also does this guy sound legit at all

The original chrome key does take two batterys as for the new chrome key from 2010 or 11 can't remember when it came out I don't know but figure it still uses two.
I would not send my key to some random guy on eBay unless he provided me with a few references like 10 + but that is just me I don't trust anyone really... Not with my car at least.

as for the price My old chrome key was like $145 and I spoke with a dealer about 6 months ago that would order me the new chrome one for about 200 so for the price if your old key works buy a cheap case for it on ebay if it looks bad or if just buy a brand new one that you know will work.

You just gave me a great idea i still have a $100 off coupon for the dealer that is good for parts

tru that..im just gonna find another key case, and switch my motherboard in to that one... i dont care if its not the new style key...

but i might need to to solder my lock button....and i know nothing about soldering
