2006 c230 sport
New member, a little help please.

Hello,

I just bought my silver 06 C230 Sport a few days ago and have already started doing research on typical mods etc.

I own another car i dump all my performance interest in, so the plan is to keep it simple.

My basic desire is to Remove the hood emblem for a flush mount, swap the grille to the three bar emblem grill, get the lip spoiler, and there is a set of AMG wheels on ebay that look alot like the rota sub-zeros. they are 10 spokes with a 5 spoke look.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-ME...Q5fAccessories

Anyway, these forums are crammed with so much junk I can't seem to sift through it and find a reliable place to get these parts from.

any ideas?

Thank you in advance for your help.

A sponsor member here JBSpeed sells both the flat hood emblem and trunk lip you are looking for... The grille you can buy off eBay, they are pretty reliable.

What apears as "junk" to you may be information other members of these forums can use. In fact, answers to your mod questions are found within these forums.

What i mean by "junk" is the fact that this forum has thread stickies that say "everything you need to know about <insert noun here>"

Then when you click on the thread there are 200 pages of posts to sift through before you get to the relevant information your looking for. unlike other forums I am a member of where stickies have the "important" information within the first post and if not, at least on the first page.

a good example is a thread about the Bix headlight swap for my c230. i have been sifting threw it for 45 minutes and can't find;

a list of what parts I will need
where I could buy the parts
or
how to install them

just post after post of people trouble shooting their installations, the random guy selling a pair, or even people just posting to say,"lol" or "cool."

I'm not bashing on the forums content, just simply stating that it is very time intensive to find any information in comparison to other forums I am a member of.

So, it seems posting threads asking my questions is a more efficient way to get the answers I seek.

Save yourself the money and paint your own grill, it's easy and it looks great! That's what I did to my car. Takes only an hour to do. All you need is:
(1) painter's tape
(1) primer spray paint
(1) black spray paint
(1) clear coat spray paint.

Here is a picture of my car.

Matters which one you get, the 3-fin one I got was simple, no need for a new latch
