if you want a slightly stretched look go with 265 on 10" rear. If you want a good flush tell them +25 will be good all around. Or you can be daring and do some massaging of the fenders and go for +20 all around.

So ive been poking around the web lately trying to figure out the ideal tire dimensions for the wheels, but I still am not sure.
Given stock specs:
Front: 225/45/17 on 17x7.5
Rear: 245/40/17 on 18x8.5
I was thinking of maybe running the following. Let me know if the dimensions are off/will not look right
F14s:
Front: 235/40/18 on 18x8.5
Rear: 275/30/18 on 18x10

That will give you a lot of tire in front and rear if you want that. When I had my 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 I ran 225/40 fronts and 255/35 rears. It gave it a slight stretch. If that's what you want I'd go 225/40 front and 265/35 rears.

Thanks for the advice bro! Yea I called discount tire today and he gave me those specs, but to be honest I was not a huge fan. There is a Pewter C63 on here with 18 by 9.5 inch forgestars in the rear running 275/35 and I really dont like how square the sidewall looks. Looks like there is too much tire for the wheel, makes the 18s look small even. Never thought I would hear 18s and small in the same sentence.
I am looking for the slightly stretched look. If what you said is true, then I will be going with your recommendation 225/40 and 265/35, front and rear respectively.
Unless anyone else has any recommendations, Im going to go with my good man phister here.
Thank you good sir! lol

It'll give you the stretch look but still give you a comfy ride. I'm stretched quite a bit more but with 17s I'm running 45 series in front and 40 series in the rear so I have a little more side wall to stretch but car rides smooth even though I'm pretty low.

So I just pulled the trigger on tires as well. I ended up going with 225/40 front and 265/35 rears as phister recommended.
I went with the Hankook V12 Evos. I was really eyeing the Pilot sports, but didn't feel like dropping that kind of cash on tires at this point (The wheels set me back enough lol). They have phenominal reviews. All the guys at the tire shop I use run them on their personal vehicles.
So heres what is on deck:
The car get out of the shop in a week and a half or so. (Rear diffuser will already be mounted)
Bring it right to the exhaust shop for the custom exhaust
Take delivery of the Forgestars and get the mounted
Swap Gene my stock muffler for clears =P
Photoshoot!
Once this is done, my next moves will be:
Depos with 5000k HIDs (the older I get the less the blue appeals to me)
Paint Calipers and silver trim on engine cover red
White LED interior lights
Shave roof/window antenna
I will post picuters of her as soon as she is out of the body shop

It official, shes back from the Body shop, and now equipped with a quad exhaust with Magnaflow muffler. Without further ado.....The pictures are attached.
I think the system sounds perfect. Barley any drone in the cabin, and it only gets throaty when I get on the loud pedal, other wise she is civilized and calm during normal driving, just what I was looking for. I think the inner tip on either side sticks out JUST a bit more than I would have liked, I may have them pushed a bit back in, but there really is almost no room left to do so...we'll see.
All exhaust work was done at Lou's Custom Exhaust in Worcester MA, if anyone is in the area and looking for exhaust work, you can no go wrong by going there!
Let me know what you guys think. I will work on getting a clip with the system on idle and maybe a WOT pass.

I am loving the exhaust note from this magnaflow. Just stepped out of the office for a bit, and on the way back, an M3 pulled up and we went for a playfull little pull till about 80-85. As I pulling into the parking I got a little head nod and a "that sounds pretty good".
anyways...made my morning lol

It was an E46 lol, and I was about 3 car lengths back. He was clearly not gassing it fully, he would have beat me by a whole hell of allot more than 3 car lengths. It was from about 45 to 80. He was probably just seeing if I would go. Couldn't turn him down lol.

Out Of Control!!
If you had black rims or a theme going on, I could see it. But since you don't, what's the advantage of painting things black? I'd show it off instead by keeping it nice and shiny.

Just do what some people do on their Hondas, and make a dummy surround that's muffler-shaped.
I'm getting old; didn't even notice that it was a one-sided muffler arrangement. Carry on.

Well after two and a half months of waiting, the wheels have finally arrived! As soon as they arrived I took them right to town fair tire to mount the staggered set of Hankook V12 Evos. My immediate thought on the tires......WOW! easily 3 to 4 times quieter than the Toyo Proxes that I had on before. I also notice a drastic difference in acceleration and deceleration. Since the new forgestars are almost 10 pounds lighter than stock, the car feels infinitely more nimble.
I am also loving the concavity of the rear wheels (could eat a bowl of cereal out of those =P). Again they are 18x8.5 mounted on kook V12 225/40 and the back are 18x10 mounted on kook V12 267/35.
After mounting the wheels, I realize that I do need a bit of a drop in the front, but since the winter is coming, I may as well save up and jump on some coilovers next summer. Let me know what you guys think. I know Chikompressor has these in gunmetal on his W203, but I think i'm the only one right now with these wheels in this color/setup.
Everyone please chime in with some opinions. I am always up for improvements.
Note: As soon as I can get my lazy *** to get the clear corners from gene, I will get on it! lol

I am loving the V12s. They have phenomenal lateral grip and really do feel very planted and stable. They are also super quiet, much more so than the Toyos I has on before. I could not be happier with the setup.
