05 M.B. C240 4Matic, BATTERY ALTERNATOR, changed the alternator, resolved issue...BUT

I changed the Alternator on my 2005 Mercedes Benx C240 4Matic, everything is all set, recharged the battery, car runs fine....BBBUUUTTT, The Main Belt has a slight wable to it. Not a large wable but it sways back and forth a bit. I checked the belt, it seems ok, I took apart the alternator, made sure the pulley wheel that I had to salvage off the old alternator was on tight and secure on the new alternator, I noticed that where the alternator mounting holes were, there are round circular shims that can be pushed in or pulled out, I'm assuming these shims tilt the alternator in and out which inturn would straighten out the belt. Well after fighting with the shims, trying to make sure I can make the alternator "straight" or level and the belt atill wables and sways back and forth, car runs fine but it loks wierd. Should I replace the belt and or mess with the alternator some more? thanks guy, really frustrated

So the belt is what is moving arround or the pully? What does your crankshaft pully look like and your other pullys?

I didn't touch any other pullies except the alternator pulley. Interesting point I forgot to mention, I did not look to see if the belt wobbled prior to doing the job so I really don't know if this was a tre-existing issue. Anyway, back to your comment, I removed the belt and spun the alt. pulley and it spins fast and straight. I didn't check the other pullies, do I just spin them when the belt is off? Should those alternator shims be placed in a specific position? They are tough to get to as far as tapping them in or out.

OK, this morning I checked the pullies while they were all spinning ofcourse, and the alternator pulley is solid and straight, crank shaft, compressor, power steering solid. There is a small plastic looking wheel, not sure what it's for, it's the smallest wheel next to the alternator, that wheel does wobble, no other wheels wobble while spinning. What is that pulley for and should I replace it? thanks!
