COMAND Question....need help..

Hi!
Do a simple test, take the speed wire from where you have it into teh car, but do not connect it! Check while driving wiht an oscilloscope whether there is a signal while driving! Like that you eliminated the problem with whether you have a speed signal or not!
There is no point of doing an update as you have to have the system up and running before any update is worthwhile! IF the comand (and that is only IF) was working when you bought it, then you should have to simply connect the CAN bus wires correctly and the speed signal! My suggestion, test teh speed signal to see whether you have got the right socket 24, pin 3!!

and how did you figure out, trial and error or with an oscilloscope??

ps. ask steve for the dvd adapter, he should have one, i don"t think he will disappoint you as he usually has everything a merc may need!
