W203 Wagons--pay or play?
I have an immaculate '00 ML320 that is my wife's ride, but she wants something smaller. She loves the MB wagons ("sexy"), and I'd like to make her happy of course.
To those who drive the 203 4M wagons, I'd love to hear your comments--drive, reliability, problems, mpg, etc.

Hi Frak,
Although not a 4 matic, my 04 C240 wagon has been rock solid reliability wise. Bought it with 40K miles 2 years, 10 months ago. I am currently at 75K and it has required just regular maintenance so far. Maintenance is pretty straightforward, Filters, brakes, oil changes all very basic.
I get ~20mpg combined and it will get upper 20's on highway trips. Very comfortable and drives and handles well. I lowered mine with coilovers, so it really sticks, but before lowering it still handled well. The smaller V6 in the 240 is not gonna set any speed records off the line, but when it gets in the rev band it is adequate for daily grocery getting, etc.
Given the choice i'd get another W203 wagon in a heartbeat. Anyhow that's my two cents.
Here's a wagon thread for your perusal:
