Service B

Do I need to get it done or should I wait for the mileage interval?
Also, if I do not get it done I guess I will get the warning message everytime I start my car stating I am over due, correct?
Thanks
Pete

In the end, they did reset the timer, probably out of pity.

Why would you have them do an oil change when it's not necessary, though?

Time to schedule a Service B i guess..........

If not, just do the other items under a Service B (top off battery, change cabin filter, replace wipers, check out everything else) and reset the timer, then remember to do the next Service A a little premature.

I'm due for Service B in about 500 miles, and as far as I know, it consists of the following:
-Change oil/filter
-Replace cabin air filter
-Top off battery
-Replace wipers
-Anything else I'm missing?
Anyway, I've done all these things recently and would like to reset the timer manually. Does anyone know how this is done, is the STAR diagnostic tool needed?
Includes 10K super synthetic motor oil (factory approved) + fleece oil filter,
tire rotation, wiper blades, cabin air filters, engine air filters (every 40K miles),
full inspection, diagnostic test, chassis lubrication
it means they check everything on the car and hook up SDS
this is what my indy mercedes does

super synthetic motor oil (factory approved) + fleece oil filter - done about 1000 miles ago
tire rotation - done about 750 miles ago (replaced some suspension components so did tire rotation at MB)
wiper blades - replaced about 2k miles ago...still like brand new
cabin air filters - replaced 15k miles ago
engine air filters - replaced 15k miles ago
full inspection - I do this almost every day

diagnostic test - did this about 2 weeks ago...no faults except the footwell flaps not being operational...I'll fix it when it warms up
chassis lubrication - she gets lubed up every few months during the winter and a couple times a month during spring/summer

Additionally, I checked and refilled all vital fluids about 5k miles ago. Brake fluid flush was done 10k miles ago, and fuel filter replaced 15k miles ago.
So have I missed anything...and do I really need to pay someone to do any of these things for me?
By the way...I still haven't figured out how to reset the Service timer...the "Reset Service Guide Indicator" in the stickies did not work for me.

Which is basically, turn ignition on but do not start engine. Scroll to the message that says "Service B exceeded by" or whatever it is saying. Press and hold the reset button until the screen says "Service interval reset with button 3 seconds" or something like that. When it says that, release the button and immediately press and hold it again. It will say "Service interval reset"

It sounds like you have it all under control. The only benefit that I can see to taking it to a dealer to have them service it is they may be more likely to give you a "goodwill" repair outside of your warranty period... but you will pay out the nose to have simple maintenance done along the way.
