SPLASH!!!

Hi guys,
The Front, Driver Side plastic splash shield [# A2038840722]came loose and was rubbing against the tires while I was on the road and now its unusable.

My question is.. Since it rains here in FL everyday, will it affect anything electrical on the car if the area gets wet? I'm seeing some wires/connections on there and I'm worried about using the car before the part arrives.

Thanks all.

Ive had that happen to me, I drove my car around for about a month without it. It didnt damage any wires or electrical components but my headlight got filled up with water and dirt and its impossible to get the dirt out now.

a quarter mile at a time
Shouldn't hurt anything. The windshield washer fluid is down there, and the only thing electrical near there is the fog light and wiring. If you don't see it dangling you should be fine.

I believe a replacement at the dealership is about $30 FYI.

everything inside your engine bay is waterproof/water tight so you'll be fine. The only thing I would worry about is if you drive in the snow due to salt/sand etc etc but you'll be fine.

I've had the passenger side one out for about 3 years without any ill effects. Same thing, mine came loose, started rubbing, I was in the middle of nowhere (Oklahoma) so I just ripped it off and never replaced it.

Thanks all.

Just ordered the part at RMEuropean for $32.40.
I hope #203-881-03-23 is the new updated part #. It's stamped A203 884 0722
on the shield itself...guess ill find out.
