steve, pls read this

Dear Steve,

My car is a C200K sedan without navigation (Hong Kong car). I would like to ask if I can install the command unit on my car? It's very nice. If I can, how much is the unit cost plus installation?

Thanks

yes you can

Please check mercedesmods.com and there is some info on the comand system installation. I will post more details on that install later. It is definitly possible. You will have to get a comand system first.

Hong Kong...maybe you have a use for the Japanese DVD comand that I have for the W203...
Installing comand in a W203 is no problem...but do let me know (per mail: s_krabbenborg@hotmail.com) what exactly you need. I presume that Hong Kong uses Japanese spec comands, right? I have those as well; CDrom and DVD based...

steve.

Actually I do not want the navigation function. I just want the looks of the command (very neat and nice!) I am not sure whether the Japanese command is useable since I have not ever touch any command yet (what a shame!)

Anyway, how much would the Japanese version costs?

Is it a plug and play system? Or it can simply installed by Audio professionals?

Thanks for your help!

1. Hongkong has no GPS at all
2. Jap version will not work well on HongKong car, Jap will not display chinese characters.
3. HongKong should use Euro Command
4. TV tuner (PAL I/K) will be the most you may need to watch TV or any other video stuff
