Project: 2006 C230 Sport - Black & Grey
Since I graduated from the W202, I decided to start a new thread dedicated to the progression of my new project, a 2006 C230 Sport.
Just purchased from the auction & ready to be shipped from Cali to Texas:
ALL Stock, so it's a fresh canvas

LED City Lights
Thanks to Mike from AZNOptics, I tossed the old yellow DRL's for some new LED's!
Before on left, after on right:
5000k to match the stock bi-xenon's (4300k):
Finished product:
I also changed the license plate lights, and courtesy door lights to LED. More pictures to come!

Eurocharged!
Thanks to Jerry at Motorwerks Houston for the deal on my Eurocharged tune. It's hard for a college student to afford these things
I put together a short video from our day at the dyno:
http://youtu.be/dlkQ2bh_vKQ
On the Dyno:
Results of the ECU tune yielded +10hp at the wheels, so probably +15 at the crank. I also dropped in two new K&N filters before the tune, so there's probably +5 more hp that we're not seeing here:

The car is clean title, but it was in a minor accident involving the 2 passenger side doors. The panels were removed and stored in the trunk for safekeeping before shipping. Glad to say, I now have 2 fresh new doors on it thanks to my dad's shop: Action Auto (Houston, TX)

Thoughts For The Future
Here's what I have on my to do list for the time being:
-Fill in front bumper screw holes (i intend to delete the front license plate)
-Tint windows (darkest to the legal limit)
-Tint tailights (very lightly, so as to retain some red)
-Roof spoiler (black painted CF)
-19" rims from the w204 c63 amg (the knockoffs are much cheaper, but seem sketchy)

lookin good bro. i got my city light LEDs from ebay. they are white but for some reason when they reflect off the housing of the headlamp, it seems blue-ish and dont match. :[
maybe i should just order from AZNoptics.
the eurocharge feel good as far as driving?

The tune is great, and with the k&n's i get this deep rumble when i step a little harder on the pedal. It's not like there's such a huge torque gain that my tires are spinning off the line.. but it just feels slightly more menacing than before. cause honestly it was a pretty tame car to start with haha

D-Bags
So i moved into a new apartment complex and payed extra for covered parking, which is supposed to be protected, but somebody still managed to back into me. They cracked my bumper and didn't leave a note..
This is an awful feeling.

insurance man! talk to your apartment manager... If anything, file a claim with your insurance company. No points on your record, it's not your fault!

Thanks, riceboy. It's getting sorted out when i go back to Houston from school in a couple of weeks. For now i have to wait and look at someone else's mistake everyday On the plus side, it will give me a chance to get my front bumper's holes plugged and maybe some window tint.

Tint
Speaking of tint, what would you guys recommend %-wise? My friend's A4 looks awesome with the darkest legal limit (35% front -5% back), but I never really was a fan of how that option makes the front and back door windows look mismatched. How about 35% all around? or maybe 35% on door windows and 10% on the rear? Visibility issues?

UPDATE
Fixed the Rrear bumper dent/crack & deleted the front license plate screw-holes for $250.. not bad.
In other news, I think my k&n's are messing with my 02meter/oxygen sensor. The check engine light came on twice now spitting this code: "P2187 - System Too Lean At Idle In Bank 1". I just reset it and carry on as usual.. anybody else experience this problem?

Ok so i got some white smoke coming from the passenger side cat just behind the exhaust manifold. checked for possible dripping oil but everything looks clean. I let the car sit for 3-4 days at a time at the most, and it randomly happens at start up sometimes, but not everytime. any ideas as to why this would happen?

Diff Work
So apparently my rear differential has leaked all it's oil out.. got my mechanic to replace the seals and fill it up again. Hopefully all the spider gears in there didn't grind themselves away cause a used replacement is about $300. Not to mention the trouble of having to pull out half of the car's suspension to do the job.
edit: pics
Other than that, i would like to get my tint done before summer. Decided to go with 35% all around to get a clean look.
Also, i would like to get my yellow fog lights matched to my bi-xenon head lamps and led city lights. 4300k HID for that? Alternatively, does anyone make decent led strips that replace the fogs to make the w203 look like the w204? i did see fogs turned to halos which looked cool. I need to delete those yellow side lights and paint the covers black too, looks sleek that way.
Lastly, how do we feel about a black roof spoiler?

How do you get your hood to open that much? haha sorry that probly sounds like a stupid question, but I always wondered how too. Also if your looking for roof spoilers or trunk spoilers try JBSPEED. I payed 110 each shipped, painted, and already had 3m tape on it.
