ok, i made it, and the car has been driving fine and cel has not gone back on
so if i make an appointment with dealer, what do i tell them, do i tell them i had a cel on and pulled codes and erased them??
if i goto them, can they still pull the codes even if they have been erased, so they can make the fixes???
thanks

Yes, my local independent technician retrieved a loose gas cap MFD malfunction warning via his STAR-DAS more than a year after it had been extinguished.
Stored codes are just that (i.e., not typically erased with most OTC handheld scanners).

i drive them all, fast and hard
i would go because the CEL was on and 2 codes were read, the CPS and post catalytic fuel thing
so i would assume that there are 2 issues going on with the car....
i thought erasing a code just means that the cel is off, but the underlying issue still exist??
so my question remains about what to do?

I would replace the CPS - simple if frustrating due to location behind the engine.
You other code makes no sense until you tell us exactly what it was. Maybe post cat O2 sensor????? in which case it is not critical.
