I have the famous ticking noise coming from under the center armrest. What i have read is that the sound is from the heat-shield isolation to sag down when warm.
I know what the problem is. But now, how do i fix it?


Can someone try to make step by step instructions or maybe post some pictures?

I had this problem 3years ago. The dealer took care of it. They said that the heat sheild was hitting the flex disc, hence the tick, tick, tick.... Look underneath the care where the drive shaft starts and look at where the first flex disc shows up. I am sure if you undo a couple of screws or bolts on heat sheild you should be able see where its hitting the disk. Good luck!
