So, I have a c230k 2.3l 2002 manual sport coupe that I recently purchased. I really love the car so far and have already put in a few tasteful mods. At this point, I really want to get a new exhaust system/muffler for this car; one that gives it an aggressive sound. As for power gains...don't really care to be honest; I'm not racing anyone, and my parents would kill me if that was my intent. I've already took a look through the Aftermarket exhaust thread and most of the options supplied there cost about $650+. I just started college haha

Cool, I'll do that as well. I'm 18 and I like noise haha. So you just take it to a shop and they weld it on for you? As well as take off the resonator and exchange it for a straight pipe?

I also have the 14815 magnaflow on my c320... Personally I wouldn't cut the resonator. The cabin noise will get annoying....I'm also 18 but I'd rather have a deep throaty sound rather than a noisier sound.
The sound won't be exactly the same as that clip because the c320 has a 3.2L engine.

^ I would just go to a couple reputable muffler shops and get quotes.
I got mine done with a new magnaflow, 2 chrome tips (just generic), installation within the hour, for less than $100.
edit: Actually I believe that it was around $100 - $150

Unfortunately it didn't fit at all; so at this point I don't know what my options are. I already returned the muffler and I'll probably go to another shop that's close by and buy whatever they have in shop. Like I said before, all I'm really looking for is an aggressive sound that the doesn't cost much. I think I'll have a smaller magnaflow fitted tomorrow.

I loved it, cabin noise was very faint as well. A good exhaust for the price. Best of luck..
